Please accept my condolences on the loss of your love one. I attended the POW picnics with my father whom was also a Prisoner of War for 434 days WWII. He and Gene always enjoyed visting at the POW picnics. He was a very kind man. He will be missed by everyone that was blessed to meet him. My Dad passed away in 2002 and Gene was kind enough to let me sit beside him at the 2002 picnic.

Carolyn, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my dad in October of last year at the age of 88. He too was a WWII veteran and was so very proud of his service. Carolyn, I wanted to add my sympathy to your family, and my thanks for your father's service to our country. I never knew about his being a POW, but what a great legacy he left to all of you. You can truly celebrate his life.
I don't know if you remember me from high school, but I always thought you were one of the sweetest girls I knew - always a beautiful smile for everyone.

Carolyn we are so saddened by the death of Buck. He was one of a kind. Tom always enjoyed talking to Buck about the war.
