Please accept my condolences on the loss of your love one. I attended the POW picnics with my father whom was also a Prisoner of War for 434 days WWII. He and Gene always enjoyed visting at the POW picnics. He was a very kind man. He will be missed by everyone that was blessed to meet him. My Dad passed away in 2002 and Gene was kind enough to let me sit beside him at the 2002 picnic. Jeanette Webb

Carolyn, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my dad in October of last year at the age of 88. He too was a WWII veteran and was so very proud of his service. My thoughts and prayers are with you today. I missed seeing you at the 45th reunion of our class last summer. May God comfort you and your family at this time. Your longtime friend, Steve.

Carolyn, I wanted to add my sympathy to your family, and my thanks for your father's service to our country. I never knew about his being a POW, but what a great legacy he left to all of you. You can truly celebrate his life. I don't know if you remember me from high school, but I always thought you were one of the sweetest girls I knew - always a beautiful smile for everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Judy Combs Puckett

All the memories I have when mom, dad, Buck and Zona would get together and his magic shows he put on for us kids. You are in our prayers, I know he will be missed. Love ya, Tom and Dolly
