JoAnn Gibson, of Beckley died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in a Beckley hospital following a short illness. She was 67 years of age. Born on October 14, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Willie Elmer Crisp and Edith L. Griffith. JoAnn enjoyed square dancing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a graduate of Shady Spring High School and was a Social Worker. She was a member of the West View Missionary Baptist Church in Odd. Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Rhonda Gibson, Galen Gibson and wife Lisa, Sheryl Gibson, Teresa Gibson, Billy Gibson and Micah Gibson; 10 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a brother Willie Elmer Crisp, Jr. and by a sister Nora Massie. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, August 20th in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Bud Israel officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 am until the service time.
