Sigler, Steven Ray

Steven Ray “Ziggy” Sigler of West Main Street, Oak Hill died Monday, August 23, 2010 in the Bowers Hospice House following a short illness.
Born on January 21, 1958 in Charlton Heights he was the son of Nellie Wood Sigler Fauber of Michigan City, IN and the late Elbert Ray Sigler. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Terry Jean Sigler and Sharon Evatt.
The true passion of Ziggy’s life was music; he attended Morris Harvey College studying music and he was the sole proprietor of Appalachian Recording Studio. He played with several bands touring throughout the southeast U.S. He also enjoyed fishing and camping and spending time with his family and many, many friends.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a sister Marsha Rakes and husband Darrell of Oak Hill; a son Anthony Justice of Portage, MI; two nieces, two nephews a great niece and three great nephews.
A celebration of Ziggy’s life will be conducted at 7:00 pm Monday, August 30th in the Spirit & Truth Ministry, Main Street, Oak Hill with Pastor Sam R. Calloway, Jr. officiating.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Bowers Hospice House and to Ziggy’s many friends for their help and support during this difficult time.
