Jackson, Lynda Anne

May 26, 1954 - August 29, 2010

On Sunday, August 29th, 2010 our most loved Lynn Jackson of Roosevelt Street, Beckley died at the Bowers Hospice House following a short illness. She was 56 years of age. “Lynn” as she was affectionately known was born Lynda Anne Baldwin on May 26th, 1954 in York City, Pennsylvania, the only daughter of James Maynard and Geneva Frances Rineholt Baldwin. She was blessed to have five brothers who survive her. Lynn came from Greenbrier County. Her husband, Marshall Jackson preceded her in death. She and Marshall had a son, Michael who survives her in Missouri as well as one grandchild. A 15 year resident of Beckley, Lynn was blessed to meet James Ashenfelter originally from Hardy County. Lynn and James have been good for each other. Like everyone, their lives have been greatly challenged but they came thru together. A “Free Spirit” Lynn has skydived, lived in a cave with an Indian tribe in Canada, and rode the bull at Gilleys in Texas. At the end of the day, we know her spirit has truly been set free, her worries and troubles of this world are over and she had gone to a better place. A Service of Remembrance will be held Monday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the United Methodist Temple at 201 Templeview Drive, Beckley. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour.
