Carolyn Elaine Cantley

Carolyn Elaine Cantley was born July 20, 1953, in Wilmington, Delaware. She loved and lived most of her life in West Virginia and died peacefully in the presence of loved ones on May 7, 2022. She was 68 years old.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin Blomquist and Nancy Beauchamp; 2 sons Donald Cox and David Wayne Cox and her brother Wayne Blomquist.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, Dennis Cantley, son Benjamin Cox (Becky) of Beckley, WV, her bonus daughters & sons Tina Bradford, Tammy Cantley, Mae Tompkins all of Rock Creek, WV, Dennis W. Cantley of Powell, TN, Branden Cantley of Beckley, WV. Her precious grands are Alisha Cox (James), Jatana Cox, David Wayne Cox II (Heather), Alexius Cox, Benjamin Cox II, Andrew Cox, Richard Cantley (Melinda), Nathaniel Adkins (Elizabeth), Breanna McKinney (Brian), Allyson Adkins (Austin), Michael Adkins, Travis Cantley (Brandi), Hunter Bonds (Lee), Terra Cooper (Chris), Nicholas Tompkins, Tyler Tompkins, Mykayla Stanley, Tierra Stanley, Kirra Stanley, Skyler Franklin, Renee' Barba, Delila Barba, Cheyenne Cantley, Sierra Cantley, Jacob Cantley, and many many great-grandchildren as well.
Carolyn is also survived by multiple siblings Rodney Blomquist (Marie) of Newark, DE, Chrystyne Ayn of Venice Beach, FL, Gene Blomquist (Judi) of Rising Sun, MD, Cheryl Hammond (Patrick) of Hiram, ME, Sunny Cathcart of Social Circle, GA, Cynthia Swyka (Richard) of Hartly, DE, Dorthea Jennings (Bill) of Wilmington, DE, Jeffrey Blomquist of Elkton, MD, Marnie Nathanson (Phil) of New Castle, DE, and many nieces and nephews.
She loved her family and in years past enjoyed preparation of massive holiday meals along with birthday celebration meals, always making enough for everybody! She very much enjoyed being home, cooking, baking and working in her flowers and yard, She liked an occasional dinner out but especially enjoyed caring for her grand and great grandkids!
She is much loved and sadly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center, 1200 Harper Rd., Beckley, WV on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 4 pm. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2 pm - 4 pm. Words of comfort and condolences may be offered to the family by visiting www.meltonmortuary.com
