Joe Edward Boggess

Joe Edward Boggess was born on July 11, 1965 in Cleveland, OH to his parents Lewis and Freda Gail Boggess. He passed away on May 3, 2022 in Glen Daniel, WV at the age of 56.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Lundy Lewis Boggess, Sr. and Freda G. Boggess. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his soul mate and companion of 12 years, Sherry L. Casino; brother Lundy L. Boggess of Madison Heights, VA; sisters Kelly E. Acord of Fairdale, WV and Teresa L. Combs of Madison Heights, VA; children A.J. Keith of Beckley, WV, James Boggess of Louisiana, Joshua Boggess of North Carolina, and Kaitlyn Boggess of North Carolina; many grandchildren; extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Joe spent nearly 15 years of his life underground as a coal miner and was a mechanic most of his life. He was a master and genius at fixing anything and had a passion for his 1946 Ford. He was an outdoors man who enjoyed camping, riding his four-wheeler, and most importantly, spending time with his friends and family.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the many people who touched Joe's life. Thank you to Dr. Gorsch of Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center, Lynchburg, VA and Lynchburg General Hospital for their excellent care.
