Lillian Cook, 101, of Beckley, West Virginia passed away on November 17 at home after a long illness.
Born in Prince on October 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Katie Sydnor.
Lillian was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Concord College with a degree in education. She was a retired employee of Raleigh County Schools.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Cook, son David Cook, brother John Sydnor and sister Barbara Hunt.
She is survived by her son Paul Cook of Buckhannon; her daughter, Jane Gilkerson of Beckley; grandsons, Jason Cook, Ryan Gilkerson and Beau Gilkerson all of Beckley; granddaughters Shelley Ayoob and husband Andy of Lexington, KY and Jami Cook of Buckhannon; great grandsons, Jack and Luke Ayoob and Roan Gilkerson; and brother Joe Sydnor of Melbourne, Fla.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 23 at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley.
