Lloyd Thomas Shrewsberry

Lloyd Thomas “Tom” Shrewsberry, 78, of Beckley, WV, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2022. He passed away at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.

Lloyd was born in Princewick, WV to Acy Frank Shrewsberry and Alda Myrtle Lilly. He worked as a route salesman for Corley Distributing prior to his retirement in the 1980s. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, Ford vehicles, going to and selling at flea markets, and anything Elvis ever sang.

His lifelong love was his wife and the mother of his children, Lorene. Lloyd is survived by two sons, Thomas Shrewsberry of China Grove, N.C. and Bryon Shrewsberry of Daniels, and a daughter, Tonya Shrewsberry, also of Beckley. Lloyd leaves behind nine grandchildren Jaimee Shrewsberry Bond, Sydney Shrewsberry, Chase Dehart, Madison McMillion, Alden Worrell, Taeha Shrewsberry, Jaimee Shrewsberry, Caden Hancock, and Tristan Meade. He also had five great-grandchildren, Trey DeHart, Scarlett DeHart, Greer Bond, McKenzie Worrell, and Lincoln Manning.

The family appreciates the staff at Hospice of Southern WV for their compassionate care at a difficult time.

Viewing for friends and family will be held at Melton Mortuary on Friday, June 24th, 2022 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in a private ceremony.
