Alma “Jean” Wickline Glover 90 of Beckley, passed away on Monday, November 11th, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.  

She was the daughter of the late George and Ellen Mann Wickline, also preceding her in death were her twin daughters, Gayla Jean and Gloria Dean; brothers, Everette, Ernest, Herndon and Donald Wickline.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 71 years, Grady Glover; daughter Karen Vest and husband, Howard;  son, Kevin Glover and wife Kay; grandchildren, Lisa Withrow and husband, Keith, Brittany Doss and husband, James, and Eric Akers and wife, Tiffany; great grandchildren, Elly Withrow, Bryson and Layton Doss and Kaleigh and Madison Akers; also surviving is her brother, Darrold Wickline; she has a host of loving family members, including sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Everyone who met her has a special memory.   Jean will be remembered best for her apple pies, peanut butter fudge, sugar cookies and anything prepared in her kitchen.  To her grandchildren and great grandchildren, “No one can make macaroni and cheese like Grandma!”  Jean touched many lives and made many memories with her family.

Friends may visit with the family Friday evening, November 15th from 6 to 9pm at the Melton Mortuary. 

 Funeral services will be Saturday morning, November 16th at 11:00 am in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Dr. Charles Bright will be officiating.     The burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Union.   Friends may also call at the mortuary one hour prior to the services on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Keith Withrow, James Doss, Eric Akers, Sonny Serreno, Joey Glover and Rocky Wickline.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of 4 South at Raleigh General Hospital.   They were a very caring and loving group of people who helped out family with all our needs.
