Arthur Edward Milam
“Eddie” went home to be with the Lord on October 2nd, 2019. He was born to the late Arthur and Annabelle Milam on April 8th, 1944 in Arnett, WV. Eddie was the last survivor of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Mother and Father in law, Fred and Nellie Honaker of Saxon, WV. His siblings, Rev. Clarice Daniel ( Rev. Gerald Daniel ), Betty Lang (Albert Lang), Lois Harper (Kenneth Harper), Naomi Harper (Adrian Harper), and Richard Milam. A brother-in-law Joey “Big’n” Wills. Two grandsons, Brandon Whitt and Steven Honaker.
Eddie is survived by his wife Sharon Honaker Milam of 53 years. His two daughters, Lora Milam Honaker and husband Brian of Ravenna, Ohio and Kelly Milam Briggs and husband Brad of Vass, North Carolina. His grandchildren Jonathan Milam, Jeremy Holder (Samantha), Carlos Honaker, Kayla Honaker Lucas, Brooke Briggs, Brendon Holder (Maddy Stone), Logan Briggs, Zack Honaker, and Breanna Honaker. His great-grandchildren Zoey, Carlie, Matthew, Lyla, Gwendolyn, Little Brian, Casyn, and Malcolm. Also surviving are his In-laws Linda and Ronnie Cooper, Anita and Thomas Snuffer, Sandra Wills, Fred and Olivia Honaker, Kevin and Cindy Honaker, and Barry and Penny Honaker. His sister-in-law,+ Mary Milam Treadway and many nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the UMWA and worked for 34 years in the coal mines. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was also a member of Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church in Bolt, WV where he participated in the Men’s Fellowship. He had many friends whom he loved and adored.
Visitation will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church at Bolt. Services will begin at 3:30 pm with Pastors Corey Brooks and Dewey Lowe officiating. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Eddie was a one of a kind, riddle/story-telling, word search loving, domino/rummy playing man. He had a smile that could light up a room and the best bear hugs around.
