Brookie June Hart

A long time resident of Glen Daniel, WV area passed away on April 22nd at Charleston Area Medical Center. Brookie was born on September 2, 1928 in Laredo, WV. She was the youngest daughter of Tolbert and Zadie (Linville) Daniels. Brookie worked in the food service industry for 35 years. She enjoyed reading, family get togethers , gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren, great grand children, and one great, great, great grandchild. Brookie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence F. Hart, sister Icie McDaniel and husband Glen, and brother Junior Daniels.She was the Matriarch of the Hart family, the Daniels family, the Maynard family, and included the Worley family. Survivors include daughter Mildred Peters of Glen Daniel WV, son Billy Ray Maynard (Donna) of Uneeda, WV, and son Lawrence L. Hart of Glen Daniel, WV. Brookie is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great, grandchild, also many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Melton Mortuary Beckley, WV on April 25th from 11-1. A short comital service will be held at the Melton Mortuary Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be family and friends. As a last note, her wit, charm and positive attitude will be remembered by all who knew her.
