Charles Bell Obituary
Charles (Donald) Bell, 78, of Soak Creek, formerly of Cool Ridge, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, March 14, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Bell and his mother, Mary Virginia Bell. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, James Bell and George Bell; and five sisters, Doris Wyatt, Evelyn Lilly, Betty Ballard, Mary Ellison, and Mildred Bell.
Hoogie as he was known, enjoyed playing the banjo, and his hobby was working on vehicles and loved to fish.
Hoogie cherished his two dogs, Maggie and Mortamor.
Survivors are sisters, Madeline Snodgrass of Crab Orchard, Margaret Newman of Crab Orchard, Erma Vest of Cool Ridge, June Ballard of Beckley and Mary (Cookie) Bell Harrah of Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family to defer the cost of the funeral.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
