Clayton Douglas “Doug” Perry, 69 of McCalla AL went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 12th, 2019 following a short illness. Born February 13th, 1950 in Beckley he was the son of the late Newman Johnson “Tony” Perry and Joyce Anne Perry.

Doug loved researching his ancestry and enjoyed fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of the United States Air Force before coming back to West Virginia to work in a management position with US Steel Mining ultimately retiring from Drummond Coal Company in Alabama in January 2017.

Doug is survived by the love of his life his wife of 47 years Nancy Perry. Two daughters; Krista of Calera AL and Kendra and husband Matt of Daphne AL, and three grandchildren; Jagger, Addie, and Archer. One brother; John and wife Drucy of Glen Rogers, WV, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 17th, 2019 at the Melton Mortuary Chapel in Beckley WV. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 AM until the time of service on Friday.
