Colin K. Lyons, 76 of Beckley, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 24, 2019. Born July 7, 1943 he was the son of the late Otis and Livey Mae Lyons and was one of 7 children. He spent his adult life living in Alexandria, VA where he married the love of his life Maggie and had two children, Jeff and Andrea.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 45 years Maggie Lyons on December 7, 2010 and four of his siblings, Bill, Bob, Jim, and Wanda.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Jeff Lyons and wife Lindsay of Fredericksburg, VA and Andrea Brenner and husband Curt of Remington, VA , four grandchildren, Kelly, Chase, Hunter and Hannah, two brothers- Lloyd and David and his wife Connie and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graduate from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV, he worked in warehouse and logistics jobs until his retirement in the late 90’s. Colin, known to most as “Johnny” enjoyed watching college football (Go Mountaineers!), March Madness, and was an avid Washington Redskins football fan. He had an amazing singing voice and loved to sing to anyone who would listen.
