Cynthia Elizabeth Surgeon

Cynthia Threet Surgeon , Cindy, 59, died Saturday, August 10, 2019 at The Bowers Hospice House in Prosperity, WV. 
Mrs. Surgeon was born on July 28, 1960 in Birmingham, AL, daughter of Patricia Woody Threet and William Eugene Threet. She was a graduate of Salem High School in Salem, Virginia. She worked several years as an administrative assistant  in Virginia and Florida. The last years of her life were spent taking care of her late husband, as well as being a personal care aid. Mrs. Surgeon was an impeccable advocate for humane societies and animal protection. You could always find her with a smile on her face, love in her heart, a cold Coca-Cola in her hand, and red polish on her nails. 
Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Eugene Threet; stepson, Johnny Surgeon, of Tampa, Florida; sister, Anne Filyaw (Sheldon) of Cades, SC; brother, Gene Threet (Mary Rose) of Dalton, GA; nieces, Kaycee (Brent) Bennett and Adrianna (Collin) Lee both of Lake City, SC; Eliska (Daniel) Manny of Dallas, GA; and nephew Jeffeory (Katie) Threet of Dacula, GA, and several great nieces and nephews, as well as very special friends Dane and Brenda Manley, of Boomer, WV, and her rescue cat, Angel.
Mrs. Surgeon was preceded in death by her late husband, John Franklin Surgeon III.
