Donna Jean (McKinney) Worix

Donna Jean Worix 82 of Scarbro went home to be with the Lord peacefully with her son Brian holding her hand on Wednesday April 24th, 2019 following a long illness. Born September 13th, 1936 in Beckley she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Cora Stump McKinney.

When she was able Donna enjoyed gardening and raising flowers and spending time with her family. She was proud of her career caring for the sick and elderly for many many years.

She is preceded in death by 2 sons; Bobby and Lloyd Worix and one daughter Kathy Wilson. Three brothers; Billy, Jimmy, and Tommy McKinney, three sisters, Janice McKinney, Vina Stanley, and Margie King.

Donna is survived by; Three sons, Dean Worix and wife Donna of Charlotte NC, Johnny Worix of Fayetteville WV, Brian Worix who shared her home and provided care for her. Three daughters; Patricia McMillion and husband Jerry of Crab Orchard, Diana Redden and husband Clayton of Fayetteville, and Lisa Treadway and husband Lawrence of Fayetteville, and two grandchildren whom she helped raise Crystal Boothe, and Gordan Redden both of Fayetteville.

Two brothers, Ronnie McKinney and wife Sherrie of Crab Orchard, Donnie McKinney and wife Junnie of MacArthur, and her sister-in-law Ava McKinney of Beckley. 22 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.  

Graveside services and burial will take place 2 pm Saturday April 27th, 2019 at the Canaday Cemetery in Crab Orchard. Friends may call at the Melton Mortuary Chapel from 12 noon until 1:30 P.M. on Saturday.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Beckley and Dr. Joseph Golden who cared for her for many years and all who helped Brian caring for Donna.
