Elizabeth Bowling Obituary

Elizabeth “Libby” Bowling 85 of Beckley went to be with Lord Thursday, April 18th, 2019 following a long illness. Born August 2, 1933, in Springton WV she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Delphia Lawson Bowling.

Libby loved fried potatoes and was the fun-loving Aunt to her Nieces and Nephews who have many fond memories of visiting her. Elizabeth was a personal secretary and had worked for Senator Robert C. Byrd in West Virginia and in Washington DC. She also worked in that capacity at Raleigh General Hospital.

She was proceeded in death by five brothers; Glen, Herbert, Clarence, Don, and Bob Bowling. Three sisters; Lucille Scheirmann, Roselee Gabbe, Dorothy Wilson, and a very close friend Glades Stiles.

She is survived by one Brother, Ray Bowling of Stamford CT. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins also survive. Miss. Bowling was cremated, and no funeral services are planned at this time.
