Fred McClure,71 of Colcord,WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 10,2019 at Beckley Veterans Hospital after a short, courageous battle with cancer.
Born September 15,1948 to George and Ruby McClure,youngest of 12 siblings. He was a member of 1966 class of Clear Fork High School,an U.S. Army Veteran, and a heavy equipment operator.
Preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings.
Survived by his ex-wife,Diana Dillon-McClure,wife of 20 yrs,best friend and caregiver;sister Edna Griffy of Sylvester,WV; Daughters: Leslie Dawn Shaw and Amber Day McClure of Georgia; Step-son: Jamie Hilderbrand (Ruth), of Beckley,WV, 3 Grandsons, Sidney, Gregory,and Chris Paul Hilderbrand of Beckley,WV,whom he loved with all his heart; 3 Granddaughters: Kimberly McClure, Emily Hull and Rebekah Hull of Georgia,whom he loved very much, numerous neices,nephews and friends; his dogs Butch(his #1), Sami Jo,Spotty,Lady,Roxy and Buster, his loves.
Fred loved singing,playing guitar,playing with his dogs,helping people,spending time with his family and going to church.
Fred's wish was for cremation. A celebration of his life will be held at Colcord Presbyterian Church in Colcord at a later date to be announced.

A memorial service will be held for Fred at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Colcord Presbyterian Church.
