Iva "Susie" Windon

Iva “Susie” Windon, 72 of Soak Creek, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital.

Born on December 12, 1946 in Stickney, WV she was the daughter of the late Snowden and Edna Williams of Sandlick, WV.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Darian Permelia and her second husband Lancy Windon, sisters Loretta Bragg, Wilma and Patricia Williams, brothers Howard, Larry, Michael, Snowden Jr, Steve and Billy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her companion of 10 years, James “Jim” Farley of Lester, a daughter Crystal Messenger and husband Harold of Lester, a son Darian Permelia and wife Ruth of Morgantown, two grandchildren Harold and Chase Messenger of Lester, two step grandchildren Cole and Rylee of Morgantown.  Sisters Peggy (Charles) Tolley of Surveyor, Judy (Randy) Dillon, Teresa (Johnny) Richmond and Barbara Condia all of Sandlick, a brother Paul (Katherine) Williams of Crab Orchard, a large extended family and dear friends. 

Visitation will be on Monday July 15, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Melton Mortuary.  Funeral services will be Tuesday July 16, 2019 at 1PM with visitation 1 hour prior to service and burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
