Jack Earl Meadows
Jack Earl Meadows, 67, of Glen Daniel, West Virginia, succumbed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, August 15, 2019.
Survivors include his wife, Sue, of 47 years; his daughter Michelle (Craig) Daniel of Glen Daniel; his two sons, Wayne Meadows of Glen Daniel and Brian (Carrie) Meadows of Masontown; 4 grandchildren, Sarah Daniel, Rebecca Daniel, Rachel Daniel and Isaiah Meadows; one brother Robert Harford of Beckley; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Leonard and Mildred Meadows, his grandparents; Elvin and Pluma Meadows; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Beulah Birchfield; his sister Patricia Vaughn; and nephew, Jason Woolwine.
Jack was a coal miner and worked as an electrician for 40+ years. He enjoyed going to yard sales, flea marketing, hunting, spending time with his family and attending church. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and grandfather. Jack was a member of Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church where he was known to many as the church “Candy man.” He was always available to help friends and family with whatever they needed him for. Jack was a loving, giving man. We will always carry his memory in our hearts until we see him again.

A time of gathering will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the chapel at Melton Mortuary. The funeral will be Monday August 19, 2019 at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Callaway Cemetery in Glen Daniel.
