Joe E Stover

Joe E. Stover, 71, of Glen Daniel, WV, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, peacefully at home.

Joe was born March 22, 1948, in Packsville, WV. He worked in the coal industry for 35 years. Since his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and attending Arnett Chapel. He also loved fishing, riding his 4-wheeler with his grandson, Jack, and especially growing his garden full of things, mostly to give away.

He is survived by his children, Stephenie Hedgecock and husband Walter (Frank) of Fairdale, Forrest (Brian) Stover and wife Jericha of Bolt, and Jaclyn (Jackie) Campbell and husband David of Glen Daniel; three grandsons, Joshua Campbell, Forrest Stover, and Jack Arrington; two brothers, Jimmie Stover and wife Helen of Goodview, VA, and Harry Stover and wife Jane of Glen Daniel; several nieces and nephews; and numerous family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Meliessa (Lisa) Stover; parents, Horace and Maxine Stover; brother, Thomas (Tommy) Stover and wife, Iris; and nephew, Thomas (Tom) Stover, Jr..

Services will be held at 5 p.m., Monday, May 6th, at Arnett Chapel; Larry Kinder will officiate. Friends may visit at Arnett Chapel from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. prior to the service.
