Lisa J "Pogo" Pogorelski, 61, passed away on May 5th, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born on November 5, 1957, at home in Oak Hill, WV. She was the daughter of the late Lewis & Joletta Pogorelski. She was a graduate of Collins High School in 1976. After graduating, Pogo continued being an avid sports enthusiast by coaching basketball & softball for over 25 years. At a young age, her passion for music led her to learn how to play the guitar and several other instruments. Pogo had the voice of an angel when she sang, which left people amazed at her vocal range and style. She was always there for her family & friends when they needed her. Pogo was a strong & amazing woman with a heart of gold. She dearly loved her family, friends and her dogs. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her mam-aw, Irene Midkiff. Survivors include her life-long best friend, Randy Day of Oak Hill, brothers & sister Walter Pogorelski of Rapid City, SD, Toni Pogorelski of Oak Hill and Kelli Casimir of Falling Waters; nieces & nephews, Samuel Pogorelski of Belpre, OH, Antoni Pogorelski of Oak Hill, Aaron Pogorelski of Rapid City, SD, Madison & Maegan Casimir of Falling Waters; and great niece & nephew, Zariah and Izabella Pogorelski of Belpre, OH & many friends that will dearly miss her There be a gathering of friends on Saturday May 11th, 2019 from 5-8 PM at the Center of Hope: Warm Hands from Warm Hearts in Oak Hill, WV.
