Michael Glen Fleshman passed away on January 1, 2020, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV following a short illness. He was born on April 11, 1958 in Logan, WV, son of the late Glen Fleshman and Barbara (Gore) Fleshman. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Timmy Fleshman.
Mike was a graduate of Logan High School and moved to Oceana, WV where he owned the 10-10 Market along with his father and brother. He also served on the Oceana Town Council.
Mike worked as an Assistant Teacher for the MountainHeart Early Head Start program and was known as “Mr. Mike.”
Mike enjoyed hiking, fishing, and gardening.
Mike is survived by his wife of 37 years, Tammy (Lusk) Fleshman, son John Michael Fleshman, daughter Emily “Emi” Ruth Fleshman, mother Barbara Fleshman, father and mother in-law James and Beulah Lusk, and brother-in-law Jeffrey Lusk.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by co-workers, family, and friends.
After cremation, Mike will be buried at Highland Memory Gardens in Chapmanville, WV.
