Michael Underwood Obituary

Michael Everette Underwood, 64, of Fayetteville, WV passed away after a battle with cancer on May 29th,2019 at Beckley ARH.

He was the only child of Everette Magee and Leona(Preast) Underwood of Fayetteville, WV. He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and worked at Elkem Metal in Alloy, WV before he became disabled.

His favorite thing to do was play his guitar and sing- especially hymns. His golden voice and musical talent that was loved by so many will be forever missed and remembered.

Those left to cherish his memory are Daughters-Amy(Melvin) Harrah and Angel Underwood of Fayetteville, Sons-Brendan Underwood of Fayetteville and Andrew(Becky) Underwood of Lynchburg, VA. and his Grandson- Issac Underwood of Lynchburg, VA.

Special thanks to Raleigh Regional Cancer Center for all the wonderful care and kindness they gave him while he was being treated there and to the ICU Unit at BARH for the caring and gentleness they showed him and his family.

A memory service will be scheduled at a later date and will be held in Fayetteville, WV.
