Richard “Rick” Warren Hogan, 67, of Beaver WV passed away Friday, June 21st, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley after a brief illness. Born December 5th, 1951, in Pikeville, KY, he was the son of the late Carl B. and Mary Marjorie (Justice) Hogan. Rick was born in Pikeville, KY, and then moved to Beckley, WV, at the age of three where he was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1970. Rick worked in the family Hogan Pittsburgh Paint Store for many years. He later started his window blind business, The Blind Man.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Pam Hogan and Warren Primiano of Salem, MA; his niece, Amanda Reeder, her husband Bill Lambert and their children Evan, Max, and Beatrice of Laramie, WY; his nephew, Briggs Reeder, his wife Abbie and their children Meara and Claire of Beverly, MA; his cousin, Debbie Hamilton, and her husband Sam of Pikeville, KY; and their extended family, along with his dear friends, Carolyn Arritt of Meadow Bridge, WV and Tom Poe of Daniels, WV.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 9th, at 6:30 pm. Friends may visit at 5:30 pm. Dr. Kelly Pitsenbarger and Chaplain Tim Mitchem will be officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville, KY.
