Robert Jackson McCormick Jr.

Robert Jackson McCormick Jr, 94, of Beckley, went home to be with the lord on Friday, January 17, 2020.

Robert was the son of the late Robert Jackson McCormick Sr. and Nellie McCormick.

Robert was a USMC veteran of WW II, who fought in the Battle of Iwo Jima, and several other battles as well.

Robert had a passion for hunting, fishing, and a love of gardening.

Besides his parents Robert was proceeded in death by; brothers, Charles McCormick and Ferdanand McCormick; sisters, Glee McCormick, Joyce McCormick, and Nina McCulley.

Robert will be sadly missed by; sisters, Mary Lucas and her husband Donnie of Beckley, Charon Clark and husband Robert of Clifton Forge; nephews, Marvin Lucas of Beckley and Robert Clark Jr of New York; nieces, Sandra McCulley of Florida and Susan Coulbourne of Florida.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 11 AM at Melton Mortuary Chapel in Beckley.  Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 10 AM until the time of the service.
