Shirley Ann (Sheets) Chambers

Shirley Ann Sheets Chambers, 72 of Sandlick Road in Glen Daniel, WV passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 after a long illness.

She was born on March 28, 1947 in Pettry Bottom, WV.  She was the daughter of the late Willard and Mae Sheets of Arnett, WV.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Joseph Eddie Chambers, Jr “Bucky”, her sister Linda Gillispie, and her great grandson Caleb Acord.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 54 years Joseph Chambers of Sandlick,  daughters Tina Davis and husband Mark, Debbie Painter and husband Greg all of Sandlick, grandchildren Stephanie Acord and husband Ryan and Brayden Painter all of Sandlick, and a great granddaughter Layla Acord of Sandlick.  Many nieces and nephews, two special sister-in-laws, Martha Baxter and Elizabeth Burnette, and her special friendship bond with her three closest friends Virginia Smith, Brenda Cooper, and Barbara Gilliam.

Shirley always had a smile on her face that would light up the room.  She was known for her thoughtful and caring nature.  She always loved sending out birthday cards and buying gifts for the people that took care of her during her 10 years at dialysis and her very large extended family as her way of showing her love and appreciation.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Melton Mortuary in Beckley with Pastor Tim Vaughn.  Family viewing will be at 4 pm.  Visitation for friends will be from 5 – 7 pm.  Funeral Services will follow at 7 pm.  Burial will be at the McGinnis Cemetery in Sandlick following the service.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
