William Ed "Bill" Carrico

William Ed “Bill” Carrico, 59 of Shady Springs passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 4th, 2019 following a long illness. Born June 10th, 1960 in Chicago IL he is the son of the late Willian Lacy and Margaret Lucille Whitt Carrico.

Bill was a wonderful father and grandfather to his stepchildren whom he raised. He loved to work and to be outside.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gladys “Kitty” Carrico, and one stepson Robert Stone.

He is survived by his companion of 21 years Patricia Stone. One son Dennis Carrico, Three stepdaughters; Crystal, Barbara, and Patricia Stone. Three stepsons; Willie, James and Joe Stone, 11 grandchildren. Three brothers; Lacy and Johnny Carrico and Jimmy Oliver, two sisters Tammy Carrico and Kimberly Radtke.

Bill was sadly missed by his two furry companions Chewy and Buddy.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10th, 2019 at the Melton Mortuary Chapel in Beckley. Friends may call from 12 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at a later date in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
