William Daniel Hill Jr

William Daniel Hill Jr.,(Danny) 61,passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Bower's Hospice House after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for 5 years.

Born July 30, 1957 at Stanaford, WV he was the son of William Daniel Hill Senior of Ballard and the late Ethel Frances Hill. 

Danny was a Christian and attended Piney View Bible Church. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and enjoyed many countless hours in the woods!

Danny was a friend to so many and was loved by everyone who met him. He was always ready to lend a hand to help someone and helped at his church when he could. 

Danny was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1975 and also attended National Education Center in Charleston, WV, with a degree in electronics.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Paulette Arlene Hill, at home. His daughter April Waugh of Beckley; son, Daniel Hill and his wife Rachel of Jumping Branch; Paul Jenkins, brother-in-law of Beckley.

Grand children left to cherish his memory are  Hannah Taylor, Caleb Painter, Logan Painter, Devin Shrewsbury, and great grand daughter, Aniyah Taylor.

Services will be at the Melton Mortuary Chapel on Monday, May 20, 2019. Visitation will be at 1 PM  and the funeral will follow at 2 PM.  Officiating the Service will be Pastor Cecil Smith and Pastor Daniel Carfrey. Pallbearers will be Daniel Hill, Dave Toler, Roy Bowles, Gary Bowles, Lonnie Bowles, Devin Shrewsbury and Logan Painter. 

Burial will be at the Saint Sebastian Cemetery in Beckley, WV.
