Mrs. Arbutus Elizabeth Gravely, 91 of Fayetteville, West Virginia, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 22nd, 2024. Born on July 12, 1933 in Glen Ferris, WV she was the daughter of the late Leo and Dolly Hughes. In addition to her parents she is greeted just outside the Eastern Gate her husband of 65 years Raymond Edward Gravely, youngest daughter Donna Gayle Jefferies, granddaughter Tiffany Brooke Pannell, and sister Nancy.

Those left behind to forever hold and cherish her memory and await a glad reunion in Glory are her daughters Linda Lee Spangler of Myrtle Beach, SC, Diana Kay Taylor(Kevin Taylor) of Daniels, West Virginia, siblings, Junior Hughes, Betty Light, Bobby Hughes, Suzie Creech, grandchildren Dennis Michael Spangler, Stacey Rae Spangler, Andrea Nichole Taylor, Heather Taylor, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will all miss her dearly.

Arbutus was a devout Christian woman and lifetime member of Mountain View Church of God at Hilltop, WV. She was the matriarch of her family, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family immensely.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday November 29, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Mountain View Church of God located at Hilltop, WV with Pastor Kevin Taylor officiating. The family will accept friends at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a memorial donation to Mountain View Christian School in her memory.
