Arvil "LEE" Cook Jr
A much-loved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Lee Cook, 59, of Pineville, West Virginia passed away peacefully at his home September 17th 2020 with his family present. He had bravely fought cancer for the past two years. He was born August 5th, 1961 in New York. He has resided in West Virginia on and off his entire life, but steadily lived in West Virginia for the last ten years.
Lee accomplished a lot in his life and created many friends along the way. Lee took great pride in his family, whether you were born into it, married into it, or a longtime friend that had become family. Lee would help anyone who needed it, if it was giving you the last dollar he had, he would give it to you.
Lee was a well-known and well-loved police officer for many years. He worked several cities but had been the Chief of Police in Mabscott Police Department for the last seven years.
Lee was the son of the late Arvil Cook Sr and the late Marsha Cook. He is survived by his girlfriend, Rosie Sims, his son Jonathan Cook, son David Cook and daughter in law Tiffany Cook, daughter Megan Burrell and son in law Steven Burrell, son Andrew Cook and daughter in law Jasmine Cook, daughter Delayni Cook, and son Connor Cook. 11 grandchildren Brooke Cook, Nathan Cook, Katie Cook, Lauren Cook, Karson Cook, Bryson Cook, Coalson Burrell, Casetyn Burrell, Cecilyn Burrell, Dallas Cook, and Tatum Cook.
Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend a memorial service to remember Lee on Sunday, October 11th from 6 pm at Ark of Safety Church address- 2882 Popular Gap Rd Glen Fork WV 25845.
A LAST CALL for Lee Cook will be made in the town of Mabscott at 4 PM as a way to honor him before the memorial.
