Aurelia "Ann" Ashby, age 77, of Beckley, West Virginia passed away peacefully at the Bowers Hospice House on Friday, November 22, 2024 after battling a long illness.

She was born on June 15, 1947 in Oakhill, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Charles Richard Dickerson Sr and Amelia Violet Nugent of Fayetteville, West Virginia.

Ann grew up in the town of Fayetteville, West Virginia. After High School, she attended College at WV Tech to become a Registered Nurse. Ann retired from Beckley ARH Hospital after many years of service.

She was a very sweet lady who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed reading, book fairs, yard sales, cooking and spending time with her boys.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Chuck" Richard Dickerson Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Richard (Lisa) Ashby of Beckley, WV; sister, Sharon (Rick Holcomb) Richards of Fayetteville, WV; three grandchildren, Kaden, Logan, and Tyler; and niece, Melissa Dickerson.

In keeping with Ann's wishes, there will be no services. To honor Ann, donations can be made to Bowers Hospice House in Beckley for their wonderful care that they provided her.
