Bambi Linn Boyce, age 67, of Shady Spring, West Virginia, formerly of Salisbury Mills/Washingtonville, New York, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024.
Bambi was born September 15, 1956 in Suffern, New York, the daughter of Clarence G. Boyce, Sr. and Lenore R. Crater-Boyce.
Having a profound love for nature and the outdoors, this love would lead Bambi in combing all related elements in efforts of educating and providing holistic healing.
Working with her hands and a true inventor, there wasn't a project in which she couldn't provide a solution for or provide additional efforts to improve upon, which was often awe inspiring to others.
There are so many gifts that Bambi will be missed and always remembered for.
A vision of designing a pond, which she executed and filled with colorful shubunkin, which she lovingly referred to as "shaboobies".
In the Spring, you would find her clearing the beautiful land that she loved and also the start of her edible gardens.
Then, there was the Fall and Winter, of which you would find her tapping the maple trees, while providing an educational experience on how to boil the sap, how long it took and letting you know exactly what color amber the liquid needed to be in order for the process to be complete.
Always true to herself and who she was, Bambi was boisterous, mischievous at times, compassionate and loving and had no problem relaying her feelings or thoughts on certain matters.
With all of this said, Bambi would go on to be the best friend and loyal confidant you would ever have.
Bambi is survived by her niece Heather Boyce-Owens, partner Mark Novak and grand Nephew Michael Owens of Virginia Beach, Virginia, best friend of many years Lynn Fisher of Suffern, New York, dear friends Tim Redmond and Kathy Steinbaum of Shady Spring, WV and beloved pet companion Oscar.
An organization near and dear to Bambi's heart, we ask that you consider a donation in her memory be made to T.A.R.A./The Animal Rights Alliance, Inc. in Newburgh New York.
