Barbara Lee Atkins, 84 of Josephine, West Virginia, passed from this earthly life on May 25th, 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 3rd, 1939 in Beckley, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Roy Harlen Tucker, and Eva Mae Johnson. In addition to her parents she is greeted at Heaven's beautiful gates by her husband Hobert Atkins, four sisters, and one brother, and a very special sister in law Kathleen Tucker.

Those left behind to forever hold and cherish her memory are her son Curtis Atkins, and wife Alesha, daughter Kathy Coalson, and husband Ricky, four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, siblings Beulah, Harlan, Eddie, Damon, Jeff, Debbie, Linda, Ricky, and Jo, one sister in law that was very dear to her Annie Broglan, and numerous other extended family, and friends who will all miss Barbara dearly.

Barbara was an amazing cook, always enjoying preparing meals for her family. She was a devout Christian woman, always enjoying her bible, and realizing Gods promises for us here on Earth. Her children, and grandchildren were her life, and the apple of her eye.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff and doctors at the Bowers Hospice House for all of their care, and compassion shown to the family during our mothers illness. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Bowers Hospice House in Barbara's loving memory.
