Barbara 'Bobbie' Hatcher, age 61, of Hurricane, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. She was born September 08, 1963 in Beckley, West Virginia, a daughter of Franklin and Dolores (Stowers) Hatcher.
Bobbie was brought up in Beckley and committed her life to taking care of her family and her pets. She enjoyed taking care of others and it showed through her dedication at being a steward at Shoney's and the Omelet Shoppe. When she wasn't working, she loved to give her attention to her children, grandchildren and any stray animal that gave her attention.
Bobbie, in her leisure time, loved to go to the beach and enjoy the beautiful weather. She also liked to work with her hands in the art of crochet.
Bobbie was of the christian faith and now walking with Jesus today. She will truly be missed by everyone who had the honor to know her.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents; son Michael Wood; and her grandson Noah Berry. She leaves behind her son Wesley A. (Brittany) Wood; daughter Judy L. (Ernest) Paul; grandchildren Trevor, Cadean, Xavier, Gabriel, Olivia, Jade, Tyler, Justin, Ryan, Chris, Justice, Paul, Sadie, and Henry; and great-grandchildren; sister Melissa D. (Donnie) Morgan; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 6-8 pm at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 with Pastor Paul Chapman officiating at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Bobbie will be laid to rest following services at the Jennings Stowers Cemetery with family serving as her pallbearers.
