Betty Jane Cook, age 70, of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at her home in Beckley, West Virginia. She was born June 10, 1954 in Beckley, a daughter of Cecil and Hilda Jane Shrewsbury Cook.

Betty was a member of the Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time volunteering with the Women's Auxillary. She also enjoyed fishing and her passion in her life was her grandson Caleb Blankenship. Betty loved her family and found her joy spending time with them.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Alan Blankenship of Beckley, WV and Randy Lee Blankenship (Paula) of Rock View, WV; step-daughters Tara Price and Jamie Forbes; grandchildren Chase and Chandler Reed and Marley Forbes; brother Gene Ross and his wife Wanda; many extended family, her church family, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Along with her parents, Betty is also preceded in death by her brothers Thomas Ross, Harry Ross, and Charles Ross; sisters Ellene Perry, Joyce Hunter, Betty, and Vicky; and her beloved grandson, Caleb Blankenship.
