Billy James Hensley, age 45, of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away unexpectantly Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at CAMC- Memorial.

He was born December 30, 1979 in Beckley, West Virginia, a son of Ernest and Irene Hensley. Billy had a loving 12 year relationship with Crystal Gardner.

Billy followed his passion for computers and technology. He worked as a Computer Technician for 30 years. His favorite job was working with Security Cameras. Billy enjoyed his career and got fulfillment that kept his passion alive; but his true love was Yardsales and the Walmart clearance aisle.

Billy was the center of his family. He kept everyone close by hosting every family get together and holiday at his home. His home is a place filled with wonderful memories from his family. Billy was the glue that kept everyone together and he will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earnest Hensley Sr and brother, Earnest Hensley Jr.

Billy is survived by his daughters, Melissa Hensley and fiance Kristen, Skyler Hensley, and Elizabeth Lilly; sons, James Hensley, Dylan Gardner, and Noah Bragg; girlfriend, Crystal Gardner; mother, Irene Hensley; brothers, Robert Hensley, Brian Hensley, and Bobby Hensley; close sister-in-law, Carmen Hensley; many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Funeral Service honoring Billy will be held on Wednesday, September 17th starting at 1:00 PM at Melton Mortuary with Pastor Larry Brown officiating. The family will begin accepting visitors an hour prior.
