Bonnie Faye Halsey

Bonnie Faye Halsey was born on August 18, 1944 in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Elliott and Ada (Adwell) Birchfield.  She went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 16, 2021 in Beckley, West Virginia at the age of 77.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Rodney Earl Halsey; two sons, Michael Rodney Halsey and Jeffrey Scott Halsey; her parents Elliott and Ada; sisters Dorothy Keaton, Vera Lovelace, and Drema Harper; and brother Marshall Birchfield.

Bonnie leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Brian Keith Halsey; daughter Beth Ann Halsey; grandchildren Tristan Halsey, Jasmine (Shon Simpson) Halsey, Jacqueline (Jeff) Blankenship, Jeremy Halsey, Santana Halsey, Brian Halsey, Regina Halsey, Faith Halsey, and James Halsey; great-grandchildren Dax Simpson, Kyree Simpson, Riya Simpson, Taylin Simpson, Michelle Halsey, and Liam Halsey; sister Patty Hyatt; brother Buddy (Delma) Birchfield; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Bonnie enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, especially her grand-babies.  She was a devoted woman of faith and loved reading her Bible and going to fellowship at church.  She was known to many in the family as, “The Great Mawmaw.”
