Mrs. Brenda Sharon Hawks passed away on Thursday, August 1st, 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia.

Brenda was the daughter of the late James Oliver Daniel and Mary Elizabeth Christian/Daniel. She was the only daughter with four brothers, Jimmy Daniel, Roger Daniel, Tom Daniel, and Steve Daniel.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and two brothers (Jimmy and Roger).

Brenda is survived by her husband of nearly sixty-four years, and the love of her life, Donald L. Hawks. They had three children, Tammy Lewis, Cindy Pertee (Brian), & Donald L Hawks II. Her grandchildren and their families Tyler Pertee, Rachel Kittle (Eric), Aaron Pertee (Tia), and Brianne Pino (Jake). Brenda had three great-granddaughters whom she loved, cherished, and spoiled - Hadley, Taylie, and Keyari Kittle. Her two brothers Tom Daniel, and Steve Daniel (Dena) both residing in Chillicothe, OH.

Brenda was an excellent homemaker, and she also worked for the Raleigh County Board of Education for over thirty years, as a teacher's aide and special education bus aide. There was nothing she was afraid to take on, whether it was quilting, cooking, being a caregiver, getting her hands dirty in her beautiful flower garden, or working on a remodeling project. She was a woman of great faith and loved serving the Lord and being involved with her church family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her but will continue to watch over and guide all that she left behind, just as she did in life. We as a family are heartbroken over the loss of a very special Woman, Wife, Mother, Meme and Friend.

The Family wishes to send a special thanks to all of the nurses and staff at Bowers Hospice House for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

A funeral service will take place for Brenda on Friday August 9th, 2024 at 1:00pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Chris Smith officiating. The family will accept visitors beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the Family has requested a memorial donation can be made to her church of over forty years, The Fellowship Bible Church at PO Box 381 Skelton, WV 25919.
