Calvin Earley Obituary

Calvin Rudolph Earley Jr., age 69 of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

I, Calvin Rudolph ("Rudy") ("Tree") Earley Jr., departed my earthly home, to my eternal home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
I was born June 17, 1954, in Lynchburg, Virginia to Calvin Rudolph Earley Sr. and Gwendolyn Earley. During my life here on earth I attended E.C. Glass High School and furthered my education at Virginia Seminary & College. I later went on to join the Air Force and was then transferred to Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi. It was here, that I married and established a family. I later returned to Virginia and ultimately settled in Beckley, West Virginia, where I spent the remainder of my life with my loving companion of more than twenty - five years, as well as close family and friends. During my time, I enjoyed mentoring to others who were on their journey to recovery. One thing everyone from Virginia to Mississippi will agree on, is my love for Jazz Music. Throughout my youth to my until my eternal life, that is one thing that remained the same.
As a spiritual person, one of my favorite things to tell those I encountered was to "Trust God". May my family and friends find comfort in trusting God and knowing that I am now resting peacefully.
My legacy lives on through, My two dear sons Kero C. Earley
of Douglasville, GA and Mason Earley Pinn of Roanoke, WV; My three beautiful grandchildren Lakera and Keron Earley of Douglasville, GA and Kaydence Earley of El Paso, TX; I will forever be cherished by My Mother Gwendoyln (Walter) Bryant of Clementon, NJ, My brother Mark C. Early of Beckley, WV; And My three sisters, Felicia C. Bryant of Ocean County, NJ, Milia Bryant of Durham, NC; Penny Earley of Orlando, FL; My two aunts, Barbara Dillard and Elaine Miller of Lynchburg, Virginia; My loving companion, partner, and caretaker, Wanda Cantrell of Beckley, WV. I also leave behind a host of very special family members and friends.

I now join in Eternal Life, My Father Calvin Rudolph Earley Sr.; My two grandmothers Minnie B. Seay and Katherine "Pete" Early.
May it bring you comfort in knowing: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith" II Timothy 4:7
