Carol Joan (Wahl) Phillips, age 89, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025.

She was born April 29,1935 in Glen Daniel, West Virginia, a daughter of Jesse and Audrey Wahl. On June 27, 1953 Carol married the love of her life, Samuel "Jim" Phillips Sr and they spent their lives together until his passing in 2010.

Carol was someone who loved her family dearly and dedicated her entire life to taking care of the ones that she loved. Her family meant everything to her. They love her dearly and her loss is greatly felt.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, brother Roger Wayne Wahl, sisters Edith Wahl, Janice Price, Anna 'Maxine' Wahl, and step-brother Orville Bolin.

Carol is survived by her children, Samuel 'Chip' Phillips, Jr., Gary Lee Phillips, and Randall Allen Phillips; sisters Shirley Daniel and Marcia 'Elaine' (Ed) Gay; brother Donald (Treva) Wahl; seven grandchildren, James, Samantha, Gary Jr., Megan, Garrett, Roger, and Adam; and one great-granddaughter, Avery.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025, 11:00 AM at the Calfee Cemetery in Mount Tabor with Pastor Dale Birchfield officiating. Burial will follow after the completion of the service.
