Carolyn Jean Bartlett, 58 of Daniels passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 peacefully with her family and friends by her side at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia. Born on June 6th, 1966 in Tacoma Park Maryland she was the daughter of the late Ivan Smith and Mary Sutphin. Carolyn was a dedicated homemaker, who devoted her whole life to her three daughters and her late husband, John Bartlett of 36 years.
Survivors include Carolyn's three daughters; Angela Johnson (Franklin Johnson), Casey Samples (Richard Samples), and Amanda Bartlett; her three grandchildren who she loved with her whole heart, Jake Samples, Graci Layne, and Killian Johnson; brother Ronald Smith(Marilena Smith), sister Tina Smith; Carolyn's mother Mary Sutphin and her husband Jeff Sutphin; sister and long time best friend Jennifer Dean Stover; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Carolyn enjoyed life by spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her late husband John Bartlett. Carolyn also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and watching NASCAR in her free time (she was Jimmie Johnson's #1 fan). Carolyn was a bright light in this world, the world will be a little more dim without her here with us. Her family and friends miss her so much.
