Carolyn Jane Guckert

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our mom and nan nan, Carolyn Jane Guckert this August 16th 2023. Carolyn, a resident of Fayetteville, WV, was born on September 16th, 1945.
She is survived by her two beautiful daughters: Lisa; married to Gary Beall and Zondra; married to Scott Vannatter. Her three talented granddaughters: Lauren Waggy, engaged to Martin Moore, Sarah Neff, and Holly; married to Kade Johnston. And her three absolutely stunning great-grandchildren: Nora Jane Waggy, Aubrey Neff, and Charlotte Johnston. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband Paul Guckert and her husband Kenneth L. Waggy along with her mother and father: Nora Audrey Brookover and Gale Brookover.
Carolyn was always ready for an adventure, whether living in Greece, riding on a motorcycle with Kenneth, or walking the boardwalk in Georgetown, South Carolina with Paul, she never turned down a chance to explore or shop the boutiques. Every adventure was never typical, which made being with her all the more fun. She also encouraged her children and grandchildren to live life to the fullest and never have regrets. Carolyn made an impact on all who knew her, whether people or pets; especially her two cats - Scruffy and Tiger, that were constant companions. She loved watching Golden Girls and knew every episode by heart. Her life in a way mimicked those girls, the laughs, the crazy situations she would get in, and the support and love she had from her friends.
She was blessed beyond measure, and we know that Heaven received her with open arms. Welcome home little one.
God placed wonderful people in our lives during our mom's trial with cancer and we would like to thank them: Dr. Todd Lares, Carl Larson Cancer Center, Gina Lucky, Dr. Porterfield, Woody RN, Margaret Dangerfield hospice nurse, Andee, hospice nurse, and Melton Mortuary.
