Charla Marie Maynor, age 31, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024 at the Bowers Hospice House.
She came into the world on January 4th,1993. She was the strongest and most stubborn girl who suffered through many health problems from cancer to liver failure. She fought them all and always came back stronger.
Charla loved music especially the Dixie Chicks whom she got to see in Atlanta through Make A Wish Foundation where she had the time of her life. She was a sassy little firecracker that loved her backpack, notebooks, markers, pantyhose, dresses, baby dolls, and her family and friends. If you were loved by Charla you were loved with a pure heart. This world is a better place and we are better people for knowing and loving her.
She is now in heaven with her Daddy who she missed so much, her big brother Micheal, Uncle Troy, and many other loved ones who have passed on.
Left to cherish her memory are her mom Jennifer and her bonus dad Kenny; grandparents Eddie and Dolly Farmer, Arley and Alice Pettry; siblings Michelle (Will Henderson) Maynor, Jonathan and Micaella Maynor, Cody (Kim Underwood) Pettry and Kyndra Pettry; aunts and uncles Josh and Rebecca Monroe, and Robin Wentz; cousins JD and Alivia Monroe. She had several other great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss her too!
Services will be held on Monday, September 16 at 7:30pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Nick Biggs officiating. The family will accept visitors two hours prior to service.
We want to express our many thanks to CAMC doctors and nurses for the wonderful care and compassion to our girl and to us. Another thank you, to the Bowers Hospice House nurses who made her last day pain-free and peaceful. We will never forget you. A special thanks to Sandra Stack for all the love and care that she provided for Charla.
