Charlotte Ann (Phipps) Gill

Charlotte Ann (Phipps) Gill, 59 of Sophia became an angel and watcher of the innocent, on Tuesday, June 18th, 2019, following a short illness. Born August 17th, 1959 at Sandlick WV, she was the daughter of the late George Franklin and Pansey L. Webb Phipps.

Charlotte loved her family and friends and all animals especially, her dogs: Ozzy, Baby, Dixon, and Peanut, she will join her angel puppy, Chloe.  Charlotte had a warm heart and a sweet smile for everyone she met. She was friendly and funny and easy to be around.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Donald Jerry Phipps

Charlotte’s remaining siblings are:

Larry Gene Phipps (wife Brenda), Barry Dale Phipps, Emery Paul Phipps (wife Marty), Douglas Wayne Phipps (wife Patti), Darrel Edward Phipps (wife Debbie), John Lester Phipps, Gary Dean Phipps (wife Diana), Jeffery Orville Phipps, Mary Ellen Phipps, Sharon Lee Phipps Russell (husband Bob), Michael Dwayne Phipps (wife Robin).

 Also, A Special thanks to her dear friend Randy, her special neighbors Billy (Pumpkin) and Phyllis, and the crew of Sophia Fire Department for their love, care and kindness shown to Charlotte.

Charlotte is also survived by her only son Donald Gene Stover Jr. (wife Amy), and their children: Tori Carr Stover, Austin Leland Stover, Conner Riley Stover, Nataleigh Marie Stover from Winchester, VA.

She had special relationships with all of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered by them as “the fun aunt” and will be deeply missed.

There will be a memorial open house at her sister Sharon’s house on Friday, June 21, 2019, from 3:00 until 6:00. Friends and family are welcome.

She will truly be missed by everyone.
