Christian Allen Strickland went to heaven to be with his sister on September 15, 2024. He was born to Emily Sharae Parsons and Pernell Strickland who both loved him with all their heart.

He was an active little boy the entire time his mommy was carrying him. Christian had a rambunctious personality that everyone in his family was excited to witness. He loved when his mommy drank her morning coffee and talked to him. It made starting the day amazing for the both of them.

Christian was preceded in death by his angel sister Ava Marie Parsons; paternal great-grandmother Mary Ellen Parsons; maternal great-grandparents John and Mildred Dean; uncle Christopher Allen Dean; and other great uncles and aunts that he reunited with.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Emily Sharae Parsons; father Pernell Strickland; sisters Zoey Mae Sargent and Skylynn Heavenly Marie Parsons; maternal grandmother Johnnie Kay Parsons; paternal grandfather Amos Lee Parsons; great aunt Melissa Sunday; paternal great-grandfather John Edward Parsons; and many other family members and friends who will miss him greatly.

The Celebration of Life Visitation will be on Friday, September 20, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Melton Mortuary Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow starting at 1:00 pm and will be officiated by Reverend Timmy Vaughn. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to CAMC Labor and Delivery Department.
