Christy Blackburn, 53, of Beckley, WV left us to be in her forever home on Friday
September 19th, 2025.

Christy was born in Beckley and lived there her whole life.

She was preceded in death by her son Warren (Justin) Pettrey and her father James Duncan.

Christy is survived by her mother, Hilda Forren; her brothers, James (Jimmy) Duncan, Sonny Duncan, and Johnny Forren; her children, Ashley Duncan, and Andrea Jarrell; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Christy was a free spirit in her time on this Earth. She had her own way of doing things and always followed her own path. She loved to create things with her hands and how far she could push the limits of those things. She loved to go on motorcycle rides. She also enjoyed cooking. Christy had many faces and many personalities that she shared with her friends and family. She loved the color black and loved to laugh. Christy was one of a kind. Even though she is no longer with us she will remain with us in memory and strong spirit.

There will be a Celebration of Christy's Life at Whitby Community Church on September 27th, 2025, from 4:30pm-7:30pm. The address of the church is 1400 Whitby Road, Coal City, WV 25823. Any flowers ordered for Christy and her family can be sent to the church.
