Chrystial Nashellia Ramsey

Chrystial Nashellia Ramsey was born on October 27, 1952 in Gary, West Virginia to her parents Albert and Dorothy (Burks) Mitchem.  She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Beckley, West Virginia at the age of 69.

Chrystial is preceded in death by her parents; partner of over 30 years David Copeland; sisters Theresa June Mitchem, Jane Webb, Oma Lee Bowman and brother Okey Mitchem.

She is survived by her children Earnest “Pokey” (Christel) Bailey Jr., Vickie (Alex) Hutchins, Scott Bailey, Ellis (Stephanie) Bailey, April Hensley, Michael Ramsey; grandchildren Keith, Melissa, Kassie, Kaytlyenn, James, Kyle, Tyler, Skyler, Holly; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Ellis (Deloris) Mitchem and Jeremy (Vicky) Mitchem; sister Irene (Kent) Sullivan; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Chrystial enjoyed Western Television Shows, playing cards, and absolutely loved BINGO.  Her passion in life was truly her family and her grandchildren.

A funeral service celebrating Chrystial’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 5:00 pm with Pastor Tommy Blake officiating at the Melton Mortuary Chapel.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 3-5 pm.  Interment will follow services at the Mt.
