Dakota Lee Austin

Dakota Lee Austin, 26 of Rhodell passed away on Friday, September 1st, 2023. Born August 25th, 1997 in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Jeffrey Lee Austin and Michelle Austin Bullins.
In addition to his father, Dakota was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James "Jimbo" Austin.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his mother Michelle Austin Bullins and step-dad Gerry; sister Sierra Padilla; brother-in-law Marco; nephews Jeremiah Blake and Waylon Michael James; niece Kinsley Nichelle, who all called him "Unkie", paternal grandmother Linda Austin; uncle Alan Austin and Miranda of Coal City, maternal grandparents Mike and Peggy Meadows and Uncle Matthew Meadows of Rhodell; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held at Rhodell Church of God, 7287 Coal City Road on September 23, 2023 at 3 pm with Gerry Eskins and Joe Cadle officiating. Friends and family may come one hour prior to service. All attendees are requested to please wear one of Dakota's favorite colors of orange or red.
