Daniel Lee Smith

Daniel Lee Smith was born on July 28, 1945 in Beckley, WV to the late James Albert and Bertha (Cwalinski) Smith.  He passed away on October 9, 2020 in Beckley, WV at the age of 75.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents; sister Carolyn Smith, step-father Worthy McKinney, aunt Leona Smith and cousin Charles A. Smith. Those who are left to cherish his memory are his son Daniel J. (Jill) Smith of Beckley, WV; daughter Lesley (Chris Neal) Copeland of Beckley, WV; grandson Connor Smith, cousins Sharon Vassiliades, Jo Rivard,  John Smith, Penny Jones and many other family and friends. 

Daniel was a man that loved to work with his hands and spend time with his family. He was a very hard working man that took great pride in his accomplishments in life. He will be truly missed by everyone.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 am – 1 pm with a funeral service at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center; 1200 Harper Rd., Beckley, WV 25801.  Interment will follow services at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 1925 Harper Rd.
